Title: Application Development with NHibernate
Abstract:
There sure are a lot of ways to access data in .NET — LINQ to SQL, Entity Framework, ADO.NET, NHibernate, etc. It’s tough to know which one to choose. In this session Shaun will focus on the features and process of developing applications with NHibernate including how NHibernate works behind the scenes, how to get it working in your development environment, testing your domain objects with NHibernate and interacting with the query API (ICriteria, HQL, Linq-2-NHibernate, Named Queries). He’ll also take a look at some of the new functionality that’s recently been released in NHibernate 3.0 Alpha.
Bio:
Shaun has been working with the .NET Framework for over 7 years with a focus on ASP.NET applications. He has been using NHibernate for over 4 years now. He’s always striving to becoming a better developer by following industry standards in terms of design patterns and the latest techniques and technologies. When not developing ASP.NET applications, he’s probably brewing his own beer.
